Suspension Trainer Reverse Lunge

Why it matters

The Suspension Trainer Reverse Lunge builds strength and size in your quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings and rectus abdominis. As a compound movement, it trains several muscles together and carries over to real-world strength and power.

How to do it

  1. Check the anchor is secure and set the strap length, then load your weight gradually to test it before full reps.
  2. Take a stride long enough that both knees can reach about ninety degrees.
  3. Set your torso tall and your ribs down before the first rep.
  4. Step into the stride and lower straight down rather than forward.
  5. Lower until your back knee is just off the floor.
  6. Drive up through your front foot to return to standing.
