Bayesian Cable Curl

Starting position for the Bayesian Cable Curl
Starting position — Bayesian Cable Curl

Why it matters

The Bayesian Curl builds strength and size in your biceps. As an isolation movement, it targets those muscles directly to build size and balance.

How to do it

  1. Set the pulley to the right height, attach the handle, and step back to remove the slack before your first rep.
  2. Set a tall torso with your upper arms pinned against your sides.
  3. Start with your arms straight and the load under control.
  4. Bend your elbows and curl the load up while keeping your upper arms still.
  5. Squeeze at the top for a beat.
  6. Lower under control until your arms are straight.

If you are new to it
Pick a load you can lift without swinging your body.
Once it is easy
