Why it matters

The Suspension Trainer Push-Up builds strength and size in your chest, front deltoids and triceps. As a compound movement, it trains several muscles together and carries over to real-world strength and power.

How to do it

  1. Check the anchor is secure and set the strap length, then load your weight gradually to test it before full reps.
  2. Set your grip evenly and pull your shoulder blades down and together.
  3. Set your feet and create full-body tension before you begin.
  4. Lower the load under control toward the middle of your chest.
  5. Keep your forearms vertical as you lower.
  6. Press back to a full lockout.
