Figure-Four Stretch

BodyweightIntermediateMobility

Why it matters

The Figure-Four Stretch helps you move more freely through the positions your training demands.

How to do it

  1. Ease into the position without forcing the range.
  2. Ease into the starting position without forcing the range.
  3. Set a comfortable position you can control before moving.
  4. Move to the first point of tension, not into pain.
  5. Ease slightly deeper on each exhale.
  6. Hold the end position briefly, then return smoothly to the start.
  7. Move to the first point of tension and hold there, breathing steadily.

If you are new to it
Reduce the range and build gradually session to session.
Once it is easy
