Starting position — Battle Rope Double Waves

Why it matters

The Battle Rope Double Waves builds strength and size in your forearms and front deltoids. As a compound movement, it trains several muscles together and carries over to real-world strength and power.

How to do it

  1. Anchor the rope securely and take a stable, athletic stance with tension in the line.
  2. Set a stable, athletic base with your feet under your hips.
  3. Load your hips and take a breath before the explosive rep.
  4. Be explosive on the way up, moving the load or your body as fast as possible.
  5. Absorb the landing or return softly through your hips and knees.
  6. Reset to a stable, balanced position before the next rep.
